My First Blog Ever, You can thank Jeniel

Greg and I have done a lot of work in our yard the last five weeks. I've been trying to win Star's own 'Biggest Loser' Competition so I've been trying to keep busy with manual labor. In the last five weeks, we built a fence and we dug all the post holes by hand. I wanted to do them myself, but once I started the journey, Greg couldn't wait to get it all done. We also stained our fence, dug all the stray grass out of our garden beds, built a fire pit, and a small retaining wall behind the fire pit for seats and just to help it look more blended with our yard. The hardest thing I would have to say was the fence or retaining wall. We had to raise the ground behind it, we did this by cutting and rolling up strips of grass putting dirt under it, raising two irrigation boxes and rolling it all back out. It was way fun and I totally found a new talent!

Riley is in the accident prone stage. She falls and scrapes her knees all the time. She even does the occasional carpet plow with her nose. Don't ask me how that's done, I just cringe and then comfort her. Her talking is out of control. She telling me all kinds of stuff and I'm actually understanding it most of the time. Her most used phrase is "I need peanut butter". She is all healed up from her surgery (tonsills, adnoids and ear tubes). Thank goodness! That was very difficult for us all.

Reaching our goal of being real estate investors is just around the corner, keeping our fingers crossed. It's a long hard process, but I know this is what works for me being able to stay home and still feel like I'm a professional. I love helping others and helping with reaching financial goals for our family. Greg is doing awesome at his job. He's made it through a lot of lay-offs and feels he has a lot that his company needs. I'm thankful he's so good at what he does and that he's always improving.

Happy Father's Day, Dads!
